Hello everyone, today I am going to show you how to recover your lost Android phone. Here are two ways. The first method is for Xiaomi China ROMs without Google Services and the second method is for all other Android phones. Xiaomi phones can also use the second method, but I think it would be more convenient to use the search method with the original Mi account that Xiaomi has. So, first of all, let’s see how to recover lost Xiaomi phones.
First method (For All Xiaomi Phone)
Go to the first setting. Scroll down to the bottom and log in to Mi Account. Then click on Mi Cloud. Turn on Find Device in the box above that appears. If you do not have a Mi account at this stage, you will need to create a new one. But I think every Mi phone has a Mi account. If you have a username or phone number, remember the phone number and password.
How to recover lost property?
Open another phone’s browser app or computer browser. Then type i.mi.com in the address bar at the top of the browser. Click Agree and Dismiss. Click Sign in With Mi Account below and enter the Mi Account on your lost phone. Click Find Device in the box that appears. When you log in, you will see your phone online with a green light. To be online like this, you need to have the internet on your lost phone. Location does not need to be turned on.
If your phone has an internet connection, just click Locate and the location will be auto-enabled on the lost phone. If you did not have the Internet turned on when you lost it, you will not be able to find your phone by looking offline. Therefore, it is advisable to keep your internet connection turned on when you go out. Nowadays, the internet is not used up just by turning on the internet, it consumes very little battery, so if you go to crowded places, turn on the internet. Then, without unlocking your phone, pull down the Noti Bar above and turn off the Settings-Notifications and Status Bar-Show on Lock Screen to prevent internet off. Then click on your green Online phone and you will see a map and four buttons below.
The first is Auto Locate your phone. When found, it will say Located. Second, if you press Play sound, the lost phone will be playing continuously. Third, click Lost Mode and you will see an Enter Lock Screen Message box and an Enter a phone number box below. In the box above you can enter a message to return your phone and in the box below you can enter your contact number. Then click Lock and the text and phone number you wrote on the lost phone will be locked. You will not be able to unlock your lost phone until you enter your Mi account and password.
The last one is Erase Data. Clicking on it will erase all the data on your phone. (If you did not have internet access before you lost your phone, or if you had sensitive data on your phone, just click Erase Data. Your phone will be lost, but your data will be lost).
If you want to try this out, you can try it with your current phone (do not click Erase Data during the test, all existing data will be lost).
The second method (for all Android phones)
The second method works on Xiaomi Global ROM phones as well as on any Android phone.
First go to phone settings and click on Google under Accounts. Then scroll down and click on Security. Turn on “Remotely locate this device” and “Allow remote lock and erase”. Android Manager appears and asks if you want to activate it. Click Activate in the lower right corner. Now you have set up the settings to find your lost phone.
