Last year, the Redmi Note 8 series was so successful that many who asked what they wanted to buy last year for around 200,000 were told to buy the Redmi Note 8.
For 2020, the next-generation Redmi Note 9 will be available globally, the Redmi 10X 4G will cost around 209,000 for the 4 / 128GB and around 230,000 for the 6 / 128GB.
So, after 10 days of using the Redmi 10X 4G, I decided that what I really needed to do was learn how to do it right. In the middle, there will be some unsatisfactory points, and in the end, it will be like Final Thoughts. So, let’s start!
1. Display
Priced at $ 200,000, the Redmi 10X 4G’s display is super-powerful. With a very small Punch-Hole Selfie Camera in the upper left corner, the 1080p LCD display is perfect for making no mistakes in its price range. It has a Full HD + display instead of the usual 720p found on other budget phones, and has a ppi of up to 395.
Although LCD, it is not dry, and it has a good color accuracy and a good viewing angle, as well as a good display in the sun. It’s a bonus to get a Punch-Hole instead of Notch in the disgusting 2019. The Chin below is still a bit ugly, as thick as a budget phone.
2.Performance
Although I put performance in my second favorite point, I noticed some issues with the new SoCs in the last 10 days. Before we talk about the problem, the Helio G85 has some really cool performance at the budget level, and the benchmark score is acceptable. He is the younger brother of the G90T, which rocked the mid-range world last year.
According to AnTuTu and GeekBench scores, Raw Performance is roughly the same as last year’s mid-range Snapdragon 712 and 710. (I think it’s even better in gaming performance.)
Lag, any non-gaming social media, browsing and anything else. It works very well without any hamper problems. In PUBG, you get graphics up to High / Frame Rate High and up to Smooth / Ultra. ML is good, even SD 665 is good, so G85 is good.
However, as soon as I got my phone, I was still playing PUBG without updating the China ROM. Frame rates drop one by one. If you just bought a Redmi 10X 4G and have some of these problems with gaming, don’t worry. This is usually the case with a new SoC, but it will probably work out later. Now that I have changed the Global ROM and performed a factory reset, the PUBG problem is completely ok.
As usual with the MTK chips on the G85, the heat issue is still minor. But it’s not hot at all, it’s a little hotter than usual.
After the Redmi Note 8 Pro for gaming, which is currently priced at over 200,000, the Redmi 10X 4G will be a masterpiece. In short, the G85’s raw performance is worth it.
3.Battery
This year’s Redmi 10X 4G has increased from the 4000mAh battery of last year’s Redmi Note 8 to 5020 mAh. For non-heavy gaming users, the screen time is up to 9 to 10 hours, so for those of you who are just like Youtube, browsing and social media users, you can enjoy 2 days without recharging.
Over 2 days, Hell yeah!
However, with a slight increase in battery size, the Redmi Note 8 is slightly heavier, and Fast Charging is still as long as 18W. 0 to 100% takes almost two and a half hours. This is the downside of battery life. (Charging port is Type C)
One thing I noticed is that it only supports 18W, but the phone comes with a 22.5W Fast Charger. Redmi will give you a 22.5W adapter as a gift of love Like some phones, it has 18W Fast Charging, but with the 5W adapter in the box…: 3
4.Storage Options
Currently Storage Storage options include 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM, You can choose between 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM locally. (As the price difference is around 20,000, I would like you to opt for 6GB of RAM which will be a feature proof.) At this price point, you can get up to 128GB of storage and up to 6GB of RAM. If you are not satisfied with 128GB, there is also an SD card slot.
5.Design and Built Quality
Ok . You’ve reached the middle of the paragraph, which means you’re not happy about it. At a price of 200,000 with a plastic back and plastic frame, the design of the Redmi 10X 4G is similar to that of the Redmi Note 9 Pro series. The grip is not very good when it is released. It’s comfortable to hold and there is nothing wrong with the design in its price range.
But…. Last year’s Redmi Note 8 had a rear glass body and camera arrangement, and the hand feel felt more premium than the 10X 4G. Here, if a budget phone uses a plastic body, it will be less harmful than glass when released. But I do not like the idea of downgrading from a glass body to a plastic body.
6. Camera
With last year’s Redmi Note 8 cameras, the 10X 4G now has both sensors and The number of megapixels is the same. The picture quality isn’t too great either, so I’m a little disappointed that the camera isn’t as good as it used to be.
But among the 200,000 phones for 2020, it can produce quality people and photos. 48 Main, 8MP Ultra-wide photos၊ Portrait photos of the 2MP Depth Sensor will be worth the price. (Just look at the examples…)
7.Audio
In terms of audio, it’s a mono speaker, not the usual stereo speakers for budget phones. The clarity is good, but the loudness is a bit weak, and the bass and treble are flat, and the sound quality is flat. But… Come on, this is the only quality you can get at this price point. The’s 3.5mm headphone jack is still included. Thumbs up.
8.Others
For security, there is a fingerprint scanner under the rear cameras. Unlock time is fast and accurate. The only downside is that the fingerprint space is a bit small and the phone is too long to reach the top. You may not be able to try it one by one.
Another advancement that could not be written on the Redmi Note 8 was Bluetooth 4.2 to Bluetooth 5.0, which makes it even more accessible with Bluetooth 5.0 supported devices.
Another thing is that there are things like Splash Proof that can withstand water purification. I think this is enough. So, let’s end.
9. Final Thoughts
After reading this review, do not think that the Redmi 10X 4G is flawed. If you are asked what phone you can buy for over 200,000 now, we will tell you to buy the Redmi 10X 4G. You can also change the Global ROM of Redmi Note 9…
So, why are there bad things? A review is not just about the pros and cons of buying a phone, it is also about pointing out the weaknesses. In our reviews, this is how we will be able to balance some of the weaknesses of our buyers.
Last year’s Redmi Note 8 saw some improvements in performance and other areas, as well as a slight reduction in camera space. But for 2020, the Redmi 10X 4G 4 / 128GB may be the best choice for those who want to spend around 210,000 at the moment.
